Change is constant and organizational change is a guarantee. In this session, organizational managers and human resource champions will explore strategies to help to lead employees through organizational change. Tom will review several steps to prepare for leading change, including seven stages of transition and effective assessment of current state, as well as a discussion about practices to effectively “move” a department through the change process and introduce ways to become a part of the “solution.”
At the end of this session, audience members will be able to:
· Demonstrate a stronger understanding of the seven stages of transition in preparation for change
· More effectively assess current state in preparation for leading change
· Effectively “move” a department through the change process and be part of the solution
The program addresses Change Management and Coaching on the ATD Competency Model.
Tom Daniels is the Assistant Director for Graduate & Executive Program in Business at Bowling Green State University. His primary focus is recruitment and academic advising for the full-time MBA program and the Executive Master of Organization Development program. Prior to BGSU, Daniels was the Director of the Executive Interviewing Center at MRops and the Vice President of Learning & Development at TNS North America. Throughout his career, Tom worked in the advertising and market research industry, gaining experience in training, customer service, and sales. Tom received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toledo and Master of Organization Development degree from Bowling Green State University.
