Caring Leadership is about influencing others by putting people at the center of what we do. Leaders must develop and communicate to employees a sense of purpose and a passion for what they do. Leaders must take responsibility for the power they have to be a catalyst for change and to exercise that power in a manner that respects the people working with them by not managing through fear. Leaders should make heroes out of their employees and create a positive work environment where play and celebration is encouraged. Leaders must have the confidence and persistence to keep focused on their vision in the face of the criticism and negativity of the naysayers. Leadership is about developing a sense of pride and commitment in others.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
· Identify the five characteristics of passionate leaders.
· Identify the six types of power.
· Identify the seven ways to make heroes of employees.
