The Optimal Me

This session challenges individuals to search deep for their personal passion and/or purpose, rid themselves of negative self-talk and insecurities, and enable themselves to fully live their lives to the max, at their optimal capacity.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Conduct a Self-Evaluation: Turn negative traits into positive attributes 
  • Deal with stress, low morale and difficult people
  • Adapt to change

The program addresses Performance Improvement, Interpersonal Skills and Personal Skills on the ATD Competency Model.

Romont W. Johnson currently serves as a Learning and Development Manager at Principle Business Enterprises. Along with his proficient business acumen, Romont has more than 15 years of experience in the areas of training and development and leadership development. Prior to PBE, he worked for ProMedica Health System for 17 years.

Romont comes with a passion for helping and developing others to reach their full potential, both personally and professionally. He has provided outstanding programs for hundreds of leaders and thousands of employees. He has been in the corporate training field since 2004, and is known for his dynamic, motivating and humorous presentation style. Some of the workshops that Romont has delivered include Leadership, Corporate Staffing, Teamwork, Customer Service, Coaching and Mentoring, Crucial Conversations, and Professionalism.

Romont is also an educator: He teaches Management Concepts at Lourdes University and US Healthcare Systems at Bowling Green State University. He carries two bachelor’s degrees; one in Finance, and the other in Operations Management; both earned at the University of Toledo. Also, from the University of Toledo, he obtained his master’s degree in Organizational Leadership.

He prides himself on being a dedicated, loyal team player; he is always passionate about his organization, his role in it, and the success of those he serves. Romont will always display courtesy, kindness and respect to others.  He is very comfortable with building relationships, and can handle the difficult, crucial conversations with great aplomb. Romont has a moral compass that points to integrity; he is resonant leader who understands the “relation” in relationships and brings social and emotional intelligence.

As for hobbies, Romont enjoys sports, comedy clubs, movies, education and traveling. He’s a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan.
